At the end of each school year the schools that received and participated in the Prime Time Grant Program are invited to the end of the year Showcase to demonstrate some of the things that students learned in these classes.  Performance based classes held a series of demonstration performances while other classes sponsored booths that allowed the attendees to participate in cooking, arts, crafts and many other cool activities.  The students from the Widen Advanced Recorder Class performed a swinging jazz tune that we worked on during our afterschool time.  Not only did the students learn to perform the jazz number but they also demonstrated their ability to improvise as each student performed their own improvised solo during their presentation.
