Pennies for Pie |
|
Pennies for Pie was a community fund raiser for Children’s Hospital of Austin that was sponsored by the Wildcat Choir. The choir was responsible for helping collect pennies and encouraging other students in the school to do the same thing. In an effort to increase the students’ already growing enthusiasm, Mr. VandeWalle agreed to allow the three students who turned in the most pennies to hit him in the face with a crème pie.
During the 2002-2003 and 2003-2004 school years, the Wildcat Choir was responsible for raising over $3,000 ($1,506 in 2002-2003 and $1,511 in 2003-2004) for Children’s Hospital of Austin. |
