During the 2005-2006 school year, the fourth grade students at Widen Elementary participated in our Ocarina Project.  An ocarina is a small, round (often egg-shaped) wind instrument that is often made of terra-cotta, stone, glass, or ceramic.  In our project, the ocarinas were made of plastic. With help from Ms. Dykhuis, Music Teacher at Barton Hills Elementary, we were able to get each student their own ocarina to use.

The pictures in this album were taken after the students decorated their ocarinas in Ms. Heikkinen’s (art) class.

**Special thanks to the Longhorn Alumni Band Association for their donation to this project**
